Bunyore boss in appeal for funds support
Newly promoted Kenya Women’s Premier League side Bunyore Starlets are in dire financial straits that could cripple their operations in the new season.
Despite signing new players in their quest to strengthen the team, their biggest worry is funding.
Bunyore head coach Daniel Arunga the team has no sponsors and they only rely on the little support they receive from Vihiga County government and a few well-wishers.
He said the team has been forced to relocate from their training ground at Mumboha to Ebusiratsi School to cut travelling costs.
Arunga is now appealing to well-wishers and sponsors to come out and help the team stabilise financially. He said he is worried that the team will not be able to travel far to honour their away matches Team manager Zakaria Amakhang’a also appealed to Vihiga County and Luanda constituency CDF offices to rehabilitate Mumboha playing ground to the required standards so that the team can use it as their home ground.
