‘That’s exactly how Museveni began’ – Bobi Wine warns Kenya on removing presidential term limit

Ugandan politician and former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, has warned Kenya of the dangers of discussing the removal of the two-term presidential limit.
The National Unity Platform (NUP) party leader was reacting to remarks by Fafi Member of Parliament (MP) Salah Yakub who said that there were plans by government-allied MPs to extend term limits for the President.
Yakub was quoted by a local daily saying that the presidential limit cap should be on age and not the number of years one has served.
Without revealing names, the lawmaker alleged the MPs behind the plot to amend the constitution have been holding closed-door meetings to deliberate on the proposal.
Save Kenya from Musevenism
Bobi Wine said Kenyans should be vigilant and save the country from ‘Musevenism’ following the sentiments made by the Fafi MP.
The Ugandan politicians further warned that the suggestion to extend the presidential term limit in Kenya might come from a lone MP but noted that fronting such a ridiculous idea was exactly how President Yoweri Museveni began schemes to remove the presidential term and age limits in Uganda.
“Dear Kenyans, BE VIGILANT. Save your country from Musevenism. This may come off as a lone MP making a ridiculous suggestion, but this is how it starts. Exactly how Museveni began schemes to remove TERM and AGE limits. Defend your Constitution before it’s too weak to defend you!” Bobi Wine tweeted.
