‘Mbogi wamenitumia Mpesa’-Saboti MP says as he celebrates his birthday
Saboti Member of Parliament (MP) Caleb Amisi has disclosed that he received a flood of goodwill from the youths of his constituency via Mpesa and birthday messages from Kenyans as he turns a year older.
Taking to his official X account, the vocal parliamentarian shared a melodious birthday song dedicated to him by a group of young men from his constituency, revealing that apart from the song, they have also sent him cash as a birthday gift.
“To the youth of Matisi, thank you for the birthday melody. “Mbogi wamenitumia Mpesa mingi pia“. Well received. Thank you, the entire people of Saboti, for the numerous best wishes that have dominated my gadget since dawn. Thank you to the great people of Kenya for the avalanche of messages. I have received it with profound gratitude! Kenya needs a Renaissance,” MP Amisi said.
On Friday, December 13, 2024, Amisi via X account revealed that he is turning a year older while thanking his constituents for allowing him to serve them.
“Happy Birthday to me! Grateful for another year of life, growth, and the opportunity to continue serving the people of Saboti Constituency and all Kenyans. May this new year bring more blessings, strength, and wisdom as I work towards making a positive impact. Here’s to more good times, meaningful service, and the relentless pursuit of a better future for all. Cheers to the journey ahead,” he wrote.

Cash gifts for birthday
Apart from Amisi, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino on Thursday, October 10, 2024, disclosed that he has received Ksh370,000 from Kenyans as a present for his 35th birthday.
Appreciating Kenyans for their good gesture, Babu Owino urged them to stop sending him money and instead save it for future use adding that he understands that the country is currently facing a harsh economic crisis.
“A big thank you to all Kenyans who are sending me Mpesa for my Birthday today. We are at 370K so far I suggest you stop please,hiyo pesa wacha ikushikilie mahali for I really feel what you are going through as a Kenyan. God bless you all,” Babu Owino wrote.
