Uhuru is still capable of working for Kenyans in other capacities – Raila Odinga

By , February 26, 2022

ODM leader Raila Odinga has on Saturday, February 26, 2022, hinted that President Uhuru Kenyatta might still serve in an unnamed capacity after his retirement in August.

Raila, who was speaking in KICC at the Jubilee Party National Delegates Conference, stated that despite Uhuru’s exit, he is still capable of working for the people of Kenya in other capacities.

“There will be change and continuation in our government these coming days. Even if Uhuru is not still the president, he is capable to work for the people of Kenya in other capacities,” the ODM Leader said.

The former premier also averred that in the event that the Azimio La Umoja movement ascends to power, the Building Bridges Initiative will be resuscitated. Raila stated that BBI, which was shot down by the Court of Appeal, was solely purposed to transform the country’s leadership and hence deserves a rebirth.

During the KICC event, Jubilee Party delegates resolved to support the presidential candidate of the Azimio One Kenya Alliance formation. Led by their party leader, President Uhuru Kenyatta, the delegates also resolved to kick out Deputy President William Ruto and his allies as members of the ruling coalition. The party also unveiled a new set of leadership.
