Sudi takes swipe at Gachagua after meeting Mohamed Ali
By Lutta Njomo, October 5, 2025Kapseret member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has renewed his onslaught on the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua following his meeting with Nyali Member of Parliament Mohamed Ali, famously known as Jicho Pevu.
In a statement on Saturday, October 4, 2025, Sudi took fault with part of Gachagua’s remarks after the meeting, where he indicated that Mohamed Ali was among the young leaders he was mentoring.
Through a quick response, Sudi wondered how Gachagua was mentoring the lawmaker, indicating that it was close to impossible since he failed to prevent the impeachment purge.
“I wonder how Wamunyoro, who failed to advise himself, can now purport to mentor Jicho Pevu alias Jicho Pesa,” Sudi wrote.
Jicho Pevu fallout
According to Sudi, Mohamed Ali’s fallout with the current regime stemmed from money deals. The Kapseret MP claimed that Mohamed Ali failed to make money as he had envisioned, prompting him to ditch the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Nonetheless, by the time of this publication, Mohamed Ali had not responded to Sudi’s claims.

Meeting with Gachagua
Gachagua commended Nyali MP moments after the UDA lawmaker fueled speculation about his political future by joining the company of prominent opposition leaders on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
Taking to his X page, Gachagua noted that the former lawmaker displayed exemplary vision and talent rare for a politician of his age.
“It was great to have spent my Saturday with Moha catching up from our days in the 12th parliament. Moha is one of the young, talented leaders I am mentoring,” he said.

“He has a great future as a leader for the Coast Region and Kenya. I am very impressed by his great ideas on mobilising the Coast region to liberate our country,” he added.
Gachagua also hailed the second-time MP for his resilience while nursing a nagging injury that hampered his responsibility as a lawmaker.
“I thank God for healing my great friend Hon Mohamed Ali, aka Jicho Pevu, who has struggled with a serious knee injury for almost a year after multiple surgeries, denying him the opportunity to serve the people of Nyali Constituency,” he stated.
It is however not clear if Mohamed Ali has officially joined the United Opposition.
