‘I will vie for presidency in 2042 and Barasa will be my running mate’ – Senator Methu

Nyandarua Senator John Methu has declared his ambition to become Kenya’s president in 2042.

Speaking in Bungoma on Sunday, June 2, 2024, the senator asserted that he will be vying for the top seat job and Kimilili Member of Parliament (MP) Didmus Barasa will be his running mate.

Methu also declared his interest in President William Ruto’s commitment to uniting Kenyans affirming that the move will play a pivotal role in assisting him to actualise his political ambitions

Mheshimiwa rais, kwa hii maneno ya kuunganisha watu wa Kenya, Kama kuna watu wawili umefurahisha mmoja anaitwa senator Methu, mwengine Didmus Barasa, kwa sababu senator Methu ni mwaka 33, Didmus Barasa, 39, Senator Methu anasimama kiti ya rais 2042, Didmus Barasa, ndie running mate wake 2042,” he said.

Methu expressed confidence that alongside Barasa as his running mate, he will woo voters across various vote-rich regions and clinch the top job.

The senator further heaped praises on the president over his command of English during his 4-day US state visit, he also encouraged the Head of State to take on more trips for the good of the country.
