In what is viewed as a flex of his political muscles, Deputy President William Ruto paraded his lieutenants during a Kenya Kwanza Alliance rally in Meru county.

The Deputy President lined up his adherents stating that he is sure their support will see him clinch the country’s top job.

Among the politicians that the second-in-command paraded were; Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, Kandara MP Alice Wahome, Tharaka Nithi senator Kithure Kindiki, Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula and Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi.

The second-in-command was also joined by a host of members of parliaments from the Mt Kenya region and others from across the nation.

During Ruto’s tour of the Eastern part of Mt Kenya, Tharaka Nithi County senator Kindiki revealed that he had shelved his gubernatorial interests in favour of the incumbent governor Muthomi Njuki.

The county head, who has been flirting with Raila’s Azimio La Umoja movement, recently decamped to Ruto’s hustler nation movement and is said to have entered a truce with Kindiki hence his change of mind.
