Pauline Njoroge joins United Opposition leaders for church service in Embakasi East
By Mabonga Makhanu, February 22, 2026The Jubilee Deputy Organising Secretary, Pauline Njoroge, has joined United Opposition leaders for a church service in Embakasi East Constituency.
In a statement posted on her social media pages on Sunday, February 22, 2025, ahead of the church service, she was seen in the company of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and the Jubilee Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang’i.
This also comes a day after she joined the Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna-led Linda Mwananchi team for their historic rally in Kakamega town.
She had also joined the team in Kitengela, where they encountered chaos after police teargassed the gathering and one of their supporters was shot. The supporter, Vincent Ayuoma, later died after receiving treatment.
She has since come out to stand in solidarity with Sifuna, especially after his ouster from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Secretary General position. Who, however, escalated the matter to the Political Parties Dispute Tribunal (PPDT), which reinstated him.
Pauline Njoroge recently declared her gubernatorial ambitions for Nairobi in 2027, saying she is the real deal for the city. She kick-started her quest with activations in Roysambu and Kasarani, where she rallied young people and residents, presenting herself as the most suitable candidate to unseat the incumbent, Johnson Sakaja.

She has also criticised the current Nairobi administration, saying it has failed to deliver on the mandate bestowed upon it by city dwellers and that the city is in bad shape.
United opposition itinerary

After the church service, the united opposition leaders are expected to make several stopovers within the city to popularise their coalition, which they want rebranded as the United Alternative Government.
They will then set their sights on the Kisii region, where they will embark on a three-day tour across the Gusii region, with the maiden rally beginning at Ekerenyo in Kisii County before proceeding to other areas. Matiang’i has welcomed the united opposition leaders to the region.
