ODM convenes Parliamentary Group meeting
The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has convened its Parliamentary Group (PG) meeting today, bringing together Members of Parliament and Senators to deliberate on the party’s recent work and current political stance.
Confirming the parliamentary group meeting while arriving at the event at Parliament Buildings on Tuesday, March 2, 2026, Junet Mohamed, the Minority Leader in the National Assembly, confirmed that the meeting would focus on what the party has accomplished over the last two months and its present position on key national and political issues.
“…the members of parliament on party position and what the party has done for the last two months and what position the party has taken on certain issues, and then we will be able to speak to the country after that,” Junet said.

The Suna East lawmaker has further added that there will be communication on the deliberations of the parliamentary group after the meeting.
The gathering is expected to provide a platform for party legislators to take stock of their activities, coordinate legislative priorities, and reinforce internal cohesion as Kenya approaches the 2027 general elections.
The meeting comes amid a dynamic political climate, where parties are recalibrating strategies in anticipation of the next election cycle. ODM has, in recent months, engaged in discussions on national alliances, legislative agendas, and constituency work, seeking to balance grassroots mobilisation with parliamentary influence.
ODM meets ahead of 10-Point Agenda implementation report
Today’s PG meeting is therefore seen as a key moment for the party to evaluate its performance
The major issue expected at today’s meeting is the discussion on the implementation report of the 10-point agenda, which is due to be tabled on March 7, 2026.

The Parliamentary Group is expected to deliberate on the agenda ahead of the report being reviewed, assessing progress and challenges in the execution of the party’s key initiatives.
In addition, the meeting is likely to touch on the ongoing ODM-UDA merger amid differing views within the party, with some leaders favoring closer collaboration while others urge caution.
