Activist Morara Kebaso now says President William Ruto can easily be dethroned in 2027.

Through a lengthy post on Sunday, November 16, 2025, Morara insisted it will not happen in the way Kenyans have been made to believe by what he called “the so-called united opposition.”

Morara has said that only a fresh, youth-driven political force can achieve that goal.

Morara roots for the youth’s unity

Kebaso declared that “William Ruto can only be defeated by a combined youth force.”

According to him, the rest of the political class is merely positioning themselves for post-election negotiations rather than genuine change.

He warned that “the rest of the politicians are just hoping to strengthen their parties to get enough members of parliament to use for negotiations after the election.”

Morara argued that unless key youth figures step up, the country risks watching the same cycle repeat.

He wrote that “unless key figures in the youth space decide to come together and offer leadership to the leaderless and a party to the partyless, we can continue watching helplessly.”

He added that without such unity, “I assure you 100%, Ruto will win and no one in the opposition will lose anything.”

Morara slams existing political parties

The activist dismissed the belief that young voters will automatically flock to the opposition.

He said, “The youth are not excited by people who have been in government for several years and done nothing.”
According to him, many young Kenyans may simply stay home if those remain the only options on the table.

Morara also rejected the idea of changing politics from within existing parties.

He stated, “If you think you will join the Kawaida political parties and change anything from within, you are dreaming.”

He described systems that are tight, expensive and designed to push young people into roles as “bloggers or goons, not leaders.”

The activist concluded with a call for a new political formation.

He urged youth to form something they own, saying, “power haitaki hii mchezo tuko nayo. Power is war.”

Morara ended by admitting he cannot do it alone, noting, “you need to share the vision with me ndio iwezekane.”
