”Towards our victory in the Mbeere North by-elections, I have held an in-depth consultation with our Opposition Candidate Newton Karish, the DP party leader @HonJBMuturi, and Manyatta MP Hon. Mukunji today,” Gachagua took to X.
”We have wished him the very best as he presents his papers to the IEBC tomorrow. The people of Mbeere North deserve leadership that listens to them and understands that a member of parliament needn’t be an executive stooge but a representative, a lawmaker, and an oversight to the executive. God bless the people of Mbeere North,” the former DP added.

Gachagua in Kitui
Meanwhile, as he continues his anti-government campaign alongside other notable figures in the United Opposition, including the Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Gachagua has maintained that the dream not to see President William Ruto’s administration serve its second term in the 2027 general election is still alive.
Speaking on Monday, October 6, 2025, in Kalundu, Kitui County, Gacahagua said the United Opposition is working together to realise that goal.
