Ledama praises ODM’s new generation of leaders as true face of Kenya

In a message shared on his official X account on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, Olekina said the ODM Party has built a leadership structure that mirrors the face of the nation, with representation from all 47 counties and communities across the country.
“The ODM party is a party driven by youthful leaders who represent all 47 counties and every tribe in Kenya. From Maasai land to Luo land, from North Eastern to the Coast and Western Kenya, our leadership reflects true national unity,” Olekina said.
He emphasised that under the leadership of Raila Odinga, ODM has remained steadfast in promoting the inclusion and empowerment of young people in political leadership. According to Olekina, this is not only a reflection of ODM’s founding values but also a symbol of hope for a more cohesive Kenya.
Olekina said the new wave of leaders under ODM is not just driven by politics but by the desire to shape a future where all Kenyans feel represented and heard. He noted that the party’s deliberate focus on youth leadership has redefined the country’s political culture, bridging generational gaps and encouraging young people to play a bigger role in national transformation.
“Under the guidance of Raila Odinga, we continue to advance the genuine agenda and manifesto of the ODM Party, building an inclusive future for every Kenyan,” he added.
ODM remains one of the few parties with a wide national outlook, often drawing leaders from every region of the country. The inclusion of youthful leaders, many of them professionals and first-time politicians, has helped the party appeal to a younger, more dynamic generation of voters.
ODM continues to position itself as a people’s movement that cuts across ethnic and regional lines, and Olekina’s message captures that spirit, a call for unity through youthful leadership and shared purpose.
