Kalonzo-led Wiper party convenes National Delegates Congress
The Wiper Patriotic Front has announced that it will hold its National Delegates Congress (NDC) on October 10, 2025, at The Jockey Club, Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi.
In a formal notice posted on Wiper Party’s official X account on Wednesday, September 19, 2025 and signed by Secretary General Senator Shakila Abdalla, the party declared that the congress is being convened pursuant to Article 3.5 of the Wiper Patriotic Front Constitution, which empowers the Party Leader to convene and oversee the supreme governance body of the party.
The statement highlighted that the decision to hold the congress was reached after deliberations by the National Executive Council (NEC).
“The National Executive Council (NEC) at its meeting held on the 26th August 2025, resolved to convene a meeting of the National Delegates Congress,” the notice read.

According to the statement, the NDC will deliberate and adopt agenda items described as pivotal to the party’s governance and strategic direction.
“It is necessary to convene the National Delegates Congress meeting to deliberate on and adopt key agenda items pivotal to the Party’s governance and strategic direction,” the notice added.
Among the top agenda items to be considered during the congress will be the adoption of amendments to the Wiper Patriotic Front Constitution. Delegates will also consider and approve the National Executive Council (NEC) reports. The notice also provided room for “Any Other Business (A.O.B),” which will be tabled before the delegates on the day.

The party emphasised the importance of punctuality, directing all delegates to strictly adhere to the scheduled time. It noted that timely attendance is critical to ensuring smooth deliberations, efficient use of resources, and the successful conclusion of the Congress agenda without unnecessary delays.
“All delegates are requested to be seated at the designated venue by 9:00 AM prompt,” the notice stated. It further noted that should there be any change of venue, appropriate communication would be issued in good time.
The announcement comes at a time when the Kalonzo Musyoka-led party is expected to play a key role in shaping the political landscape ahead of the next electoral cycle. The NDC will serve as a platform for Wiper to review its constitutional framework, adopt strategic policies, and strengthen its structures as it positions itself for upcoming political contests.
