Kalonzo: I have been betrayed many times
Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, on Sunday, September 28, 2025, reiterated his dedication to Kenya, vowing to continue serving the country despite facing repeated betrayals.
Addressing congregants on his X after a church service in Kajiado, Musyoka stressed his determination to remain steadfast.
“I have always stood with the people, and not even once have I ever betrayed the interests of my beloved country. Yes, I have been betrayed many times along the way, but my faith in God and my resolve to serve Kenya have never wavered,” he said, calling for a united, prosperous and just nation built on leadership as service.

Earlier, Kalonzo revealed that they had declined an invitation to join the broad-based government.
Youth and police urged to stand firm
He used the occasion to thank former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for publicly defending him against the “watermelon” tag often associated with political inconsistency.
Gachagua, speaking earlier in Kajiado, had redirected the label to ODM leader Raila Odinga, citing his shifting alliances after electoral defeats and collaborations with past presidents Daniel arap Moi, Mwai Kibaki, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto.
“So hiyo term ulikuwa umebandika Kalonzo tumekubandika wewe ndio watermelon. Kalonzo is a patriotic son of this republic,” Gachagua said.

Kalonzo rallied Kenya’s youth, especially Gen Z, to register as voters, describing them as vital to the country’s future.
“To our Gen Z, I urge you to come out in masses and register as voters. You are the future of this nation, and your voice matters more than ever,” he said.
He also addressed police officers, urging them to uphold integrity and resist unethical orders. “To our police officers, I say with respect, do not take bad orders. Stand firm, because we will always stand with you and fight for your dignity,” he added.
Economic relief and anti-corruption
Kalonzo outlined key policy priorities aimed at easing the economic burden on households and combating corruption.
It is worth noting that Kalonzo stated that the Kenya Kwanza government was riddled with corruption and scandals.
“We must free our payslips from punitive taxes that are crushing families. We must end corruption so that Kenya becomes a fair country where everyone has a chance,” he said.
He also renewed his call for President William Ruto’s removal from office, stating, “For Kenya to move forward, William Ruto must be #WANTAM!”
