Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced that he has forgiven a man who threatened his family before the 2022 General Elections.

In a statement, Kalonzo said he was praying for the man, Moses Munyalo alias Mose, for God’s guidance after the forgiveness.

“The young man had recorded an audio that went viral on social media whereby he threatened my family and I at the height of the electioneering period. He was arrested and charged by the police,” Kalonzo stated.

“Following deep reflection, particularly on the words of Colossians 3:13 “Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you,” at my request, we sat down at the same table together. Moses has apologised to my family and me and I have forgiven him just as the Lord continues to forgive me.”

The man, who had declared himself the leader of the Kitui County Youth Movement, called Kalonzo on July 17, 2020, threatening him and his family with dire consequences.

The Wiper Party leader later recorded a statement with the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, leading to his arrest.
