Former Roots Party Presidential running mate Justina Wamae has faulted Kenyans for what she terms as part and parcel of crime and poor leadership in the country.

Taking to X on Monday, September 15, 2025, Wamae blamed Kenyans for making poor choices at the ballot, electing leaders in office who do not respect the rule of law and service delivery.

”Let it be known that the voters in Kenya are not innocent but are accomplices in the crime of poor leadership, corruption, high cost of living, lack of implementation of Article 43, lack of vision and so on. Right now they are aLL supporting Wantam because Tutam is bad! Without asking what the alternative solution is to the failures, problems and financial burden that Tutam has put the country in,” Wamae said.

Justina Wamae reminded the electorate about the 2022 general election when they had a chance to vote in a better government, but made a mistake that has backfired.

A section of Kenyans have expressed dissatisfaction with the current regime that came to power in 2022 after President William Ruto beat former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the Presidential election under the ticket of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

The 2022 mistake

”May I remind you that in 2022, you all ran around singing Hustler, now that hustlership has come to bite you in the behind. What Kenya needs is innovative and progressive policy and legislative proposals. Hence, creating wealth for the nation of Kenya and her citizens is the ONLY agenda bigger than wantam and tutam shenanigans.”

At the same time, Wamae has cast doubts on how the recovery of ill-got public resources can help spur economic growth in the country.

Taking to X on Monday, September 15, 2025, Wamae hinted at a little significance in economic development, even after arresting and recovering the proceeds of corruption from corrupt duty bearers. She instead called for a different approach to spur the country economically.

”If we have arrested the corrupt duty bearers, sh$t them (as you always insist) and even confiscated their ill-got wealth. Explain how this will spur economic growth? Be pragmatic,” Wamae said.

Meanwhile, Kenyans will have another chance to elect new leaders in different leadership positions in the 2027 general election.
