Jubilee Party has dismissed as false and misleading claims circulating on social media alleging a planned Gen-Z event at the Ichaweri home of party leader Uhuru Kenyatta.

In a statement posted on its Facebook account on Saturday, February 8, 2026, the party said the reports are unauthorised and do not represent the position or endorsement of the fourth president or the party.

“The Jubilee Party has noted with concern the persistent circulation of misleading information across various social media platforms alleging a planned Gen-Z event at the home of our Party Leader, H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta, C.G.H., in Ichaweri, Gatundu. The Party categorically states that no such event exists,” the statement read.

Unauthorised claims

According to the party, the claims circulating online are completely unfounded and should be disregarded by the public.

“These claims are false, unauthorised, and misleading, and do not in any way represent the position, involvement, or endorsement of the Party Leader or the Jubilee Party,” the statement said.

Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta, who signed the statement, reminded officials, members, and the general public that formal communication regarding the party leader is issued exclusively through verified official channels.

“We wish to remind all our officials, members, and the general public that any formal communication regarding the Party Leader is issued exclusively through the verified Office of the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya and the official Jubilee Party platforms,” Ole Kenta said.

The party urged the public to treat information circulating outside official channels with caution and verify its authenticity before sharing or acting on it.

“Any information circulating outside these channels should be treated with extra caution and verified accordingly,” the statement added.

Commitment to youth engagement

Despite denying the specific claims about an Ichaweri meeting, Jubilee Party reaffirmed its commitment to engaging young people through proper structures.

“Jubilee Party affirms that the youth occupy a central place in the vision of our Party Leader and within the Party. We will continue engaging young people through structured, organised, and legitimate forums, including the Party Youth League,” the party stated.

The party emphasised its commitment to empowering millennials and Gen-Z as key stakeholders in the country’s future, including in the 2027 general election.

“We remain firmly committed to empowering Millennials and Gen-Z as key stakeholders in the nation’s present, into the 2027 elections and beyond,” the statement concluded with the party’s rallying slogan “Mbele Pamoja!” (Forward Together!).
