If Raila is anyone’s project, then he’s people’s project – Uhuru

By , February 26, 2022

President Uhuru Kenyatta has finally addressed politicians allied to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, who have umpteenth times branded ODM Leader Raila Odinga a ‘State Project’.

The Ruto-allied politicians have over time accused the President of using state machinery to campaign for the ODM supremo.

Speaking at the ODM National Delegates Conference in Kasarani, the Head of State chided at the politicians, stating that they were only directing their frustrations at the former Prime Minister.

Uhuru opined that Raila’s competitors have sensed defeat and therefore resorted to branding the ODM leader a project.

“Due to lack of ideas and the fear of being defeated, Raila’s competitors have now resorted to branding him a project. If Raila is anyone’s project, he is the project of the people of Kenya. Raila is not my project and neither is he a State project,” the President underscored.

The President further hailed the former premier for not being demanding when he approached him for a truce. Uhuru revealed that the presidential hopeful neither tabled demands nor asked for positions in government.
