Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa and her bodyguard have been charged with murder over death of Ngubao Jola during the Ganda Ward by-election in 2019.

The High Court in Mombasa ordered the duo be detained at Port Police Station until Thursday, October 22, when they shall take plea.

Their Lawyer Jarred Magolo had urged the court to have the two out on anticipatory bond and could present themselves at the Coast General Hospital but the court said that the earlier bond terms granted by the lower court could not be used in the matter.
