Tusker dreaming big after 11th win in 2023/24
Tusker FC midfielder John Njuguna has expressed the team’s determination to approach each match one at a time, with the ultimate goal of winning all their remaining 12 games.
Following their successful double over KCB Football Club, Njuguna played a pivotal role in securing the victory.
Tusker’s 11th win
Despite the significance of the win, he emphasized that the team has already shifted its focus to the upcoming match against Muhoroni.
“As a team, this win is behind our backs. We are taking each match at a time and the target for us is to win all our remaining games. The focus now is on the next match, and we’ll see where that takes us,” Njuguna told Tusker Media.
Njuguna delivered a standout performance, providing an assist for the first goal scored by Chris Erambo and netting the second with a spectacular long-range shot.
Reflecting on his performance, Njuguna described it as a confidence booster, attributing his success to the hard work he has consistently put in.
“It definitely boosts my confidence and motivation. I have been striving to improve my scoring, and slowly the results are showing. I am pleased to have scored another goal, and I aim to continue working hard to score more,” Njuguna revealed.
Tusker players competitiveness
Njuguna also commended the competitive spirit within the team, highlighting that every player works diligently to earn a starting role, which keeps everyone on their toes.
“When someone gets an opportunity, we all rally behind them and offer our support, while continuing to work hard for our chance,” Njuguna noted.
