Wetang’ula ecstatic as Gunners beat Man Utd to take Premier League race to final day
The National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula was elated after Arsenal picked up a crucial 1-0 Premier League win at Old Trafford on Sunday, May 12, 2024.
The win against Manchester United means that the title race will be decided on the final day, with the Gunners looking to end a title-dry spell that lasted for 21 years.
Wetang’ula, who had called on Arsenal to win at Manchester United’s turf, urged the London side to finish the season on a high.
“Well done, Arsenal. Play your next game like hounds that have tasted blood! This is our year! Kufinish Kumalo!” Wetang’ula wrote on X.
Meanwhile, the Gunners moved back to the top of the Premier League after a crucial goal was scored by Leandro Trossard from Kai Havertz’s right-wing cross. They are now one point ahead of Manchester City, who have a game in hand.
