Matano: Tusker will not underrate Homeboyz in final

Tusker FC Head Coach Robert Matano has made it clear that his team will not underestimate Kakamega Homeboyz as they gear up for the FKF Cup final on Saturday.
The Brewers are set to face Homeboyz in the final at the MISC Kasarani, with kickoff scheduled for 3 pm.
Tusker set eyeing CAF
The match is important for Tusker FC, as they are eyeing a ticket to the CAF Confederations Cup after narrowly missing out on the league title.
Despite entering the final as the favourites, thanks to Matano’s impressive track record, including winning the league title in the previous season, the coach is cautious and refuses to assume superiority over their opponents.

Following a heartbreaking final-day loss to Gor Mahia in the league title race, Matano emphasizes the need for a fresh mindset heading into the final.
“Every game is different, and we approach each team with a fresh mindset. We cannot underestimate any team or assume that we are superior because this is a final,” Matano said.
The victorious team in the final will not only lift the prestigious trophy but will also secure a grand prize of Ksh 2 million and earn a coveted spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Both Tusker and Homeboyz have fought their way to the final, with Tusker securing a dramatic last-gasp victory against Ulinzi Stars. Prior to that, they overcame KCB in the quarterfinals and Division One side Rainbow in the Round of 16.

For football enthusiasts planning to attend the match, regular section tickets are priced at Ksh 200, while VIP section tickets are priced at Ksh 500.
FKF has designated Gate 12 and Gate 19 as the points of sale for ticket purchases, ensuring a smooth ticketing process for fans.
In addition to the option of live attendance, the FKF has also confirmed that the final match will be televised live on KBC (Kenya Broadcasting Corporation) and streamed on the Mozzart Bet Cup Facebook page. T
his allows fans who are unable to physically attend the match to still catch all the action and experience the thrill of the games from the comfort of their own homes.

Prior to the highly anticipated final, the day’s proceedings will kick off with the third-place playoff between Ulinzi and AFC Leopards, scheduled to start at 12 noon. F
KF has extended a special invitation to its affiliate academies, prioritizing women and youth football, to attend the Mozzart Bet Cup finals. This initiative aims to provide young footballers with a unique opportunity to witness and be inspired by top-level Kenyan football.
