Tusker FC unveil new players joining the squad for 2025/26 season
By Joel Masibo, September 8, 2025Former Football Kenya Federation Premier League champions Tusker FC have unveiled new players joining the squad for the 2025/26 season after the transfer window officially closed.
The Brewers have added fresh talent across all departments in preparation for the upcoming season.
The club has introduced 14 new players who are expected to strengthen Charles Okere’s side’s depth and inject energy into their campaign.
Leading the list of new signings at the Ruaraka-based outfit is goalkeeper Brandon Nathan Obiero.
The defensive unit has been boosted with the addition of Eugene Ikutwa Shiponi (right back), alongside centre backs Francis Oduor Onyango and George Odhiambo.
In midfield, the Brewers welcome Issa Rashid Lumumba and Vincent Otieno Owino, both expected to add creativity and control in the middle of the park.
The forward line has seen the most reinforcement, with Dennis Ochieng Oalo, Cliff Omondi Oruko, Ronny Otieno, Yakeen Mutheli, Curtis Amos Wekesa, and Douglas Nyasosi Manga all joining the attack.
Additionally, David Polepole comes in as an attacking midfielder, while striker Eric Kapaito Muugi, a proven goal scorer in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League, comes to add more depth and experience in the striking department.
As the new players settle in at Tusker, the club has also confirmed that striker Jacob Onyango has joined Bidco United on loan for the 2025/26 season. Onyango, who has been part of Tusker’s first-team setup since joining from Sofapaka FC at the start of last season, will link up with the Thika-based side in search of regular playing time and further development.
The attacker has shown flashes of promise with the Brewers, and the move is a strategic step to give him more top-flight exposure in a competitive environment.
Speaking on the move, Tusker FC CEO Sam Nzau said:
“Jacob is one of the brightest young talents we have, and this loan to Bidco United will provide him with the opportunity to get consistent minutes and continue his growth. We are confident that he will gain valuable experience and return to us an even better player.”
Tusker have also released Harambee Stars forward prodigy Ryan Ogam, who has completed his move from the club to join Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC, marking a major milestone in his blossoming career.
