Sofapaka unleash four new signings

Sofapaka FC have unveiled four new signings ahead of the new FKF Premier League campaign.

Former Gor Mahia FC and Western Stima striker Baron Oketch has joined the side from Tanzanian Premier League shaving ended his stay with Biashara United.

According to Sofapaka, the club elected to sign the striker on a long term deal after monitoring the player over a month of training.

“We have reached an agreement with Baron Oketch to acquire his services ahead of the new season. Oketch formerly with Biashara United will join the club on a long-term deal after a successful one-month training period. He is expected to add depth to our striking department,” the club announced on Sunday.

Raphael Okeyo Asudi also joins the club on a long term deal having trained with the side for a month. The former Bidco United man comes in to boost the midfield.

“We are glad to have agreed a deal with Raphael Okeyo Asudi to acquire his services ahead of the new season. Asudi, formerly with Bidco United, will join the team on a long-term deal after a successful one-month training period. He is expected to strengthen our midfield options,” reads Asudi’s confirmation.

Former Migori Youth

Other players that have been confirmed by the club include former Migori Youth duo Ben Stanley and Lucky Musyoka. The two have also signed long term deals.

The club has also boosted the technical bench with Paul Ogai joining the club as an assistant coach and David Okello returning to the club as the goalkeeping coach.
