Shumah’s Power Dynamos held, as Vyner misses Coventry clash
By Luke Oluoch, December 14, 2025Harambee Stars ace Moses Shumah’s fine scoring form with Power Dynamos at their Arthur Davies Stadium was temporarily snapped as the reigning champions drew Kabwe Warriors 1-1 in a rescheduled Week 12 encounter on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Shumah and Power got the chance to grab the lead from the spot as the hosts earned a 65th-minute goal when Issa Kazembe was tripped in the box, leaving the referee with no option but to point to the spot.
However, the in-form striker was overlooked for defender Samuel Bamidele, who stepped up to expertly convert to give the hosts the lead under the heavy downpour.
The lead proved short-lived as the host restored parity within the next ten minutes for a share of spoils.
Second place
With the draw, Power are still second on the Zambian Premier League log, after log leaders Red Arrows also fell to Zesco United in another tie.
Power, who have 26 points, are four points behind the leaders.
“It is sad that we allowed them to score through a set piece when we were organised. We dropped two points at home when we could have gotten the maximum three points,” Mutapa said.
Power now shifts focus to the next game against Zanaco on December 20, 2025, at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
Vyner misses out
Meanwhile in England, Kenya’s left back Zak Vyner was ruled out with injury as Bristol City fell to championship highflying Coventry City on Saturday.
Vyner joined George Tanner among Bristol’s absentees for the clash against Frank Lampard’s charges.

The fullback has been a regular in Gerhard Stuber’s team, featuring in their previous battling 2-2 draw to Leicester City on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
He, however, contended with watching from the sidelines as Ephron Mason-Clark scored the all-important goal to end the team’s ascent.
The win saw Lampard’s team continue their fine run at home, stretching their unbeaten run to seven games.
