Promoted Mara Sugar signs duo from NSL sides

Football Kenya Federation side Mara Sugar has added two players to its roster for the leagueβs second-half series.
Steve Otieno and Harun Thomas have joined the team from NSL sides Kisumu All Stars and MOFA respectively according to a statement dated Friday, February 7, 2025.
The pair arrival is set to boost the Millers’ options in the final third of the pitch. Harun is an attacking midfielder while Otieno features as an inverted winger from the flanks.
The pair joins Christopher Raila among the club new entrants. The league newbies confirmed the signing of the former Muhoroni man via statement on Friday, February 7, 2025.

The burly midfielder is set to fill the void left by Michael Isogol who left the club in the current window for Nairobi based KCB.
Acclaimed for his versatility, Raila is expected to add more steel to the spine of the side which is ranked 12th on the pile

Meanwhile, Mathare United has further bolstered its ranks with Ian Omondi the latest to put pen to paper with the John Kamau-coached side.
The defender previously featured for Talanta FC and brings the much-needed top-flight experience to the former premier league heavyweights.
Omondi has also enjoyed spells with FKF Division Two side, Leads United.
He becomes Slumboys‘ third acquisition after John Junior Nyawir and Charles Oudu, who joined the club on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
