Kenya’s Angela Okutoyi once again proved her mettle in her straight sets 6-1/6-3 thumping of Slovakia’s Viktoria Morvayova Wednesday at Nairobi Club to enter the quarter finals of the W25-World Tennis Tour Championship now in its second week.

The home girl who had vastly improved from last week seemed to enjoy the game but importantly put away the vital shots to help her objectivecause as she seeks to finish the year on a high.

In the contest that took 82 minutes on the clock, the USA Based Okutoyi got off the blocks flying taking under 15 minutes in the first set to go 3-0 up with a double-break point in between. Her first serve points won and second serves in proved crucial to set pace for what would be a near-perfect match.

In the opening set, Okutoyi converted two key aces but unluckily also committed three double faults.

Some of her biggest areas in the duel were her break points won (71%) and her first serve conversion (31/54). On the other hand, Morvayova whose first serve percentage (79%) was impressive, her downside was her low break point percentage (33%) and second serve points won (27%).

The second set also was beneficial to Okutoyi although in the process she also made some few uncharacteristic errors like committing two double-faults. The 19-year-old was however on point with regards to her first service points won (18/20) and
