How National 7s Circuit standings look like after Dala

After winning the Dala 7s following a 17-5 win over Kabras RFC, KCB Rugby not only secured the cup title but also saw them move to the top of the National 7s Circuit standings.

The triumph in Kisumu marked KCB Rugby Club’s fifth cup title, showcasing their dominance in Kisumu and saw them awarded Ksh.100,000.

KCB lead National 7s Circuit

Following the victory, KCB now lead the standings with an impressive tally of 22 points, placing them three points ahead of their closest rivals, Kabras Sugar who finished as runner’s up.

Following closely behind in third place is Strathmore Leos, who showcased their resilience with a thrilling 24-19 triumph over Kenya Harlequin in sudden death.

The talented students from Madaraka based University currently sit on 17 points, while Kenya Harlequin occupy the fourth spot with 15 points.

Mwamba Rugby Club holds the fifth position with 13 points, while the reigning circuit champions, Menengai Oilers, find themselves in sixth place with 12 points, eager to defend their title in the upcoming rounds.

Nakuru and Homeboyz secure the seventh and eighth slots, respectively, both accumulating 10 points. Nondies follow closely in ninth place with 8 points, while Kisumu takes up the tenth position with 7 points, displaying their potential to climb higher in the standings.

The 11 and 12 spots are claimed by Catholic Monks and Daystar Falcons, respectively, both earning 5 points. Western Bulls find themselves in the 13th position with 3 points, while Masinde Muliro occupies the 14th position with 2 points.

Mombasa and Makueni complete the standings, each holding 1 point in the 15 and 16 positions, respectively.

After the Dala 7s, the circuit will head to the coastal city of Mombasa for the Driftwood 7s at the Mombasa Sports Club on July 8-9.

The excitement will then pause briefly as the circuit makes way for the World Rugby U20 Trophy, happening in Nairobi from July 15 to July 30.

The third round, the Prinsloo 7s, will electrify Nakuru City as it takes place at the Nakuru Athletic Club on August 5-6.

Nairobi’s RFUEA Ground will be the stage for the highly regarded Christie 7s on August 12-13, showcasing top teams battling for glory.

Tisap which has since replaced Kakamega 7s will now take place on September 2-3 at the Eldoret Sports Club with the National 7s returning to Eldoret for the first time since the 2018 Sepetuka 7s.

Finally, Nairobi will once again take the spotlight as the circuit reaches its climax with the George Mwangi Kabeberi Memorial 7s on September 9-10.

This prestigious tournament promises thrilling matches and intense competition.
