Nairobi City Stars midfielder, Vincent Owino Otieno, has expressed his commitment to the club by signing a two-season contract extension.

Nairobi City Stars move

Owino joined City Stars during the mid-transfer window of the previous season, signing a one-year deal from FC Talanta. At that time, the club was facing the threat of relegation.

Asked about his decision to extend his contract, Owino stated that City Stars feels like home and is the ideal place for his career growth.

He emphasized that the decision to extend was an easy one, allowing him to focus on enhancing his performance and contributing to the team’s success.

“City Stars is my home and the best place for my career growth. That made the decision to extend the contract an easy one,” Owino told the club’s media.

“I can now focus on improving my performance and that of the team,” Owino added.

Head coach Nicholas Muyoti praised Owino’s decision, describing him as one of the best performers in the team’s camp.

“We are more than happy that Vincent has chosen to extend his stay at City Stars. He is one of our best performers and very key to our setup. He made the right decision,” Muyoti stated.

Owino’s stats from the previous season showcase his impact, with three goals, two assists, and six key passes in 14 second-leg games, totaling 1,123 minutes on the field.
