Kenya U20 star Mola leads National 7s Circuit scoring charts

The National 7s Circuit organizers have unveiled the top try and point scorers list with Kenya U20 star Victor Mola being the leading try scorer following the completion of the first two rounds of the campaign.

Mola from Strathmore Leos, has been in sensational form, scoring an impressive 11 tries. Close behind is Fidens Tony from Nondescripts with nine tries, while Brunson Madigu from Strathmore Leos, Austine Sikutwa from KCB, and Joel Inzuga from Mwamba are tied with six tries each.

National 7s Circuit scorers

Dan Kibet from Western Bulls, Nigel Amaitsa from Strathmore Leos, Vincent Onyala from KCB, and Levy Amunga from KCB have also made their mark with five tries apiece.

In the point-scoring department, Fidens of Nondescripts has proven to be a force to be reckoned with, amassing an impressive total of 67 points.

Mola from Strathmore Leos follows closely with 55 points to his name. Brian Wahinya from KCB is in third place with 48 points, while Amon Wamalwa from Kenya Harlequin, Madigu from Strathmore Leos, Brian Juma from Homeboyz, Sikutwa from KCB, Barry Robinson from Kabras Sugar, and Joel Inzuga from Mwamba all share 30 points.

The Sevens’ excitement has paused briefly as the circuit has made way for the World Rugby U20 Trophy, happening in Nairobi from July 15 to July 30.

The third round, the Prinsloo 7s, will electrify Nakuru City as it takes place at the Nakuru Athletic Club on August 5-6.

National 7s final legs

Nairobi’s RFUEA Ground will be the stage for the highly regarded Christie 7s on August 12-13, showcasing top teams battling for glory.

Tisap which has since replaced Kakamega 7s will now take place on September 2-3 at the Eldoret Sports Club with the National 7s returning to Eldoret for the first time since the 2018 Sepetuka 7s.

Finally, Nairobi will once again take the spotlight as the circuit reaches its climax with the George Mwangi Kabeberi Memorial 7s on September 9-10.
