Police Bullets attacker Mercy Masika has expressed her gratitude to the Kenya Police Bullets fraternity as she exits the club after a two-year stint with the reigning Kenya Women’s Premier League champions.

The former Moving The Goal (MTG) player was specifically thankful to coach Beldine Odemba for handing her the opportunity to not only feature for the club but also to become a champion.

Privilege

“Dear Kenya Police Bullets FC, I want to say a big thank you for the last 2 years. To Coach Beldine Odemba, it was a privilege, and I’m so grateful for the experiences and growth I’ve gained under you. To every staff member, I say a big thank you,” her statement read.

Masika also thanked her teammates, with whom together enjoyed a splendid season at the club by being crowned back-to-back champions.

“To my teammates, we achieved so much together over the past 2 years. I leave with love and wish you guys all the best. To the incredible fans, thank you for the love, patience, and support. I wish the club nothing but all the best always,” she added.

Others released were Yasin Khalid, Stella Okeyo, Linda Oduor, Mery Njeri, and Jane Hato.

Released

In a statement from the club on Thursday, July 24, 2025, Bullets confirmed parting ways with the seven.

“We say goodbye to seven players as they part ways with the club. Thank you for your service, dedication, and memories shared. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter,” the club statement read.

In her parting speech, Linda Kihara also conveyed her best wishes to the team.

“My time with Police Bullets has come to an end. I’m truly grateful for the journey, for the teammates who became sisters, the coaches who pushed me, and the fans who always showed love. Wearing the Bullets jersey was an honour. I leave with pride in what we achieved together and appreciation for every moment, challenge, and victory along the way.

“Now, it’s time for a new challenge. A new chapter. I’m hungry, focused, and ready for what’s next. Thank you, Bullets family. The journey continues,” she stated.
