McCarthy names Harambee Stars final squad for Chad friendly

Harambee Stars head coach Benni McCarthy has named the final squad that will take on Chad in two friendlies in June.
Kenya will face Chad on June 7 and June 10 in Marrakech, Morocco, during this month’s international break.
The named squad left for North Africa on Tuesday ahead of the two matches that have been organised to keep the players sharp.
McCarthy will assess the squad’s depth and readiness as Kenya builds toward the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) in August. It is also an opportunity for him to integrate with the players as he settles into his job.
Meanwhile, Kenya Police forward Mohamed Bajaber has been ruled out because of an injury.
“Kenya Police FC midfielder Mohammed Bajaber has been ruled out of Harambee Stars’ upcoming friendlies against Chad after sustaining a right thigh injury during training on Tuesday.
“Team doctor Wycliffe Makanga confirmed the injury, ruling Bajaber out of the trip to Morocco.
“No replacement has been named, with 23 players set to travel tonight for the matches scheduled for 7th and 10th June in Marrakech. We wish Bajaber a quick and full recovery,” FKF confirmed.
