KWPL: Kenya Police Bullets face Kayole Starlets as new season gets underway
The Football Kenya Federation Women’s Premier League defending champions, Kenya Police Bullets, will start their title defence against newly promoted side Kayole Starlets in the 2025/2026 season on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Utalii Grounds, Nairobi.
In another Saturday fixture, Zetech Sparks will face Kisped Queens at Zetech University in Mang’u, starting at 1:00 pm, promising an equally gripping showdown.
Later in the afternoon, Kibera Soccer will host Ulinzi Starlets at Marist University in what is expected to be a high-energy battle starting at 2:00 pm. Meanwhile, Trinity Starlets will take on Kisumu All-Starlets at Comboni Polytechnic, with their match kicking off at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
The action continues on Sunday, October 5, 2025, with two matches. Soccer Assassins will clash with Gideon Starlets at Mumboha Stadium at 1:00 pm, while Bungoma Queens will host former champions Vihiga Queens at Bungoma National Polytechnic, also kicking off at 1:00 pm local time.
This opening weekend marks the beginning of what is expected to be a fiercely contested season as teams battle for early dominance in the league standings.
As the FKF Women’s Premier League continues to grow in popularity, Football Kenya Federation President Hussein Mohammed has urged local football enthusiasts to support local leagues. Mohammed has also called upon corporates to come on board and invest in local football amid its growing popularity.

Speaking after the Kenya Women’s Under-20 national team qualified for the next phase of the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup courtesy of a 4-0 victory over Ethiopia on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, Hussein Mohammed expressed optimism in women’s football as the Rising Starlets inched closer to the global showpiece.
