Kenya’s golf sensation Nyarandi seals victory at Nyali Golf Club
Caroline Nyarandi, a handicap 26 golfer, claimed the top spot at the 16th leg of the KCB East Africa Golf Tour held at Nyali Golf Club, showcasing remarkable prowess with an impressive score of 44 stableford points at the weekend.
Competing against a field of 191 golfers, Nyarandi’s stellar performance secured her the overall victory and a spot in the day’s triumphant team.
Teaming up with William Kaguta, Edwin Kiptoo, and Raajkamal Dhanjal, Nyarandi contributed to their collective success, as the quartet clinched a combined score of 118 points, triumphing over their nearest rivals, Detan Ondieki, Wilson Rading, Peter Umara, and Joan Kimani, who fell short with 112 points.
With this victory, Nyarandi’s team secures a spot alongside 13 other qualifying teams for the anticipated grand finale scheduled at the Karen Country Club on December 15.
“I have been in good form in the past few weeks. This is the third time I am winning a golf tournament here at the Nyali Golf Club in recent weeks. Today, my swing was there, and I had an amazing four ball. It is time to continue sharpening my skills as I eagerly await the grand finale in Nairobi,” Nyarandi conveyed, expressing her elation.
