Kenyans Abel Kipsang, Reynold Kipkorir and Kumari Taki obliterated the 1500M race taking positions 1, 2 and 3 respectively.

Kipsang managed to set a time of 3:31:01, Kipkorir – 3:35:50 and Taki – 3:36:73. Kipsang who finished fourth at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics has been on a brilliant form showcasing his growing prowess majorly at the Belgrade Championships.

In the men’s 200M, Botswana’s Isaac Makwala also managed to impress by making it to the podium at 3rd place behind American Kyree King – 2nd place and Canadian Aaron Brown – 1st place.

Aaron Brown’s wide grin after sprinting across the finish line said it all for the three-time Canadian Olympian.

He turned a lightning-quick start in the men’s 200 metres into a wind-assisted winning time of 20.05 seconds. The three-time defending Canadian champion outlasted Kyree King (20.18) of the United States down the straightaway.

Makwala will now have his sights set on defending his Commonwealth crown in July in Birmingham and is further expected to fight for the world title in Oregon in the same month.
