Kenya U18 squad for the CECAFA U18 final match against Uganda has been named by head coach Salim Babu ahead of the match set to kick-off at 2:30 p.m. at Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.

Ibrahim Wanjala who starred in penalty shootouts to send Kenya to the final has retained his place in goal. He will be guarded by Captain Amos Wanzala, Collins Ongou, Baron Ochieng and Joseph Onyango.

The midfield will have Stanley Omondi, Humphrey Aroko, Joseph Khisa and Elly Owande. The forwards are Louise Ingavi and Syphas Owuor.

Aldrine Kibet, Tyron Junior, Manzur Suleiman are on the bench. Kenya head to the final having gone unbeaten in this competition.

Sports CS Ababu Namwamba will be one of the guests during the ultimate showdown, and ahead of the match, he has explained how proud he is of the junior stars.

The former Budalangi Member of Parliament also said the government is behind the Junior Stars, who are on the verge of winning the regional title.

“His Excellency President William Ruto and I are leading the whole government and all Kenyans in praying for you and cheering you on all the way.

“Victory is your portion. I am coming to Kisumu with your special reward. C’mon, my boys, let’s do this,” he added.
