The Kenya Prisons men’s volleyball team booked their spot in the Kenya Cup semifinals after a dominant straight-sets victory over Equity Bank.

“The Kenya Prisons men’s volleyball team triumphed over Equity Bank in the inaugural Kenya Cup men’s quarterfinal match, securing a straight-sets victory with scores of 25-20, 25-20, and 25-23. This win has earned them a spot in the semifinals,” Kenya Volleyball posted on their X account on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

From the first serve, Kenya Prisons looked in control. Their strong blocks, powerful serves, and excellent coordination gave them an early lead in the opening set. Equity Bank tried to keep up, but unforced errors and a lack of rhythm saw them lose the first two sets by similar margins.

The third set was tighter, with Equity showing signs of a comeback. However, Kenya Prisons held their nerve in the closing points, sealing the set 25-23 and the match 3-0.
