The battle for glory in the second edition of the Kipchumba Karori tournament is set to move a notch higher, with elite men’s volleyball sides renewing rivalry in the last four stages.

In a statement from the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) on Saturday, December 20, 2025, the organisers revealed the exciting matchups set to decide the ultimate teams to battle in the men’s finale.

In the released fixtures, the General Service Unit (GSU) has been paired against Kenya Prisons.

The two rivals clash as the servicemen seek to continue their dominance in the men’s games, having won the national title in 2024.

Prisons booked their spot in the last four after edging Bunge in three straight sets in the third quarter finals match played on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

Defending champions

“We defeated the defending champions of the 2024 Kipchumba Karori International Tournament, Equity Bank, with a 3–1 victory,” a statement from the club read.

With the win, the Juja-based team will now face off against Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) on Saturday, December 2025, as they seek to punch their ticket in the finals.

GS advance

The other semifinal pairing will see an elite clash pitting Prisons against the General Service Unit.

In the female category, Kenya Commercial Bank avenged their KVF National League defeat to Kenya Prisons after edging the latter to book a place in the semifinals.

The Lionesses got their sweet revenge against Prisons in the final group stage clash and will now face off against the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The winner will face the winner between Kenya Pipeline and Kenya Ports Authority, who battle it out in the other last four matchup.

The competition winners in both categories will walk home with Ksh1 million prize money.
