AFROCAN: Kenya Morans fixtures revealed
The Kenya Morans basketball team is gearing up to participate in the second edition of the AFROCAN basketball tournament, scheduled to take place from Saturday, July 8 to Sunday, July 16.
The tournament will be held at the renowned Kilamba Arena, located on the outskirts of Luanda.

The pools for the tournament have been confirmed, with four games scheduled per day during the Group Phase, which will take place from July 8 to July 10.
The pools for the tournament have been announced, with Kenya Morans placed in Pool A alongside Gabon and Cote d’Ivoire.
Pool B consists of Angola, Nigeria, and Mali. Morocco, Tunisia, and Rwanda make up Pool C, while Pool D comprises the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, and Cameroon.
Kenya Morans’ impressive performance in the first edition sets high expectations for their performance in this year’s competition.
Kenya, the runners-up from the previous edition, will kick off the tournament by facing Cote d’Ivoire in an exciting opening match.
Defending champions, the Democratic Republic of Congo, will also be competing in the tournament, aiming to retain their title
The tournament format includes group stages followed by the Final Phase. The winners of each group will advance directly to the Quarter-Finals, while the teams finishing in second and third place will compete in the Qualification for the Quarter-Finals on July 12.
The Final Phase of the 2023 FIBA AfroCan will commence on July 12, with the ultimate winner of the tournament being declared on July 16.
The tournament fixtures for the initial days have also been released. On the opening day, Kenya will face off against Cote d’Ivoire, and the Democratic Republic of Congo will take on Cameroon. Other matches include Rwanda versus Tunisia and Angola versus Mali.
