Kenya Aquatics has unveiled its latest initiative to boost the nation’s swimming standards with the establishment of a comprehensive national database.

The announcement comes alongside the publication of the latest long course records, reflecting both the historical and recent achievements of Kenyan swimmers.

Speaking on Wednesday in Nairobi, Omari Omari, the chairperson of the Kenya Aquatics Technical Committee, highlighted the importance of this new development for Kenya.

“The federation has worked hard to establish a national database record, which will go a long way in guiding training and competition. 

The technical committee is working closely with all stakeholders to ensure Kenya has a stable database with clear rankings of various strokes and age groups,” noted Omari, adding that the database is set to enhance transparency and accountability within the sport.
