The Harambee Stars are set to bolster their squad with additional players as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup Qualifier matches.

IF Elfsborg midfielder Timothy Ouma is scheduled to join the team on Monday at 3:00 p.m.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) also confirmed that defenders Daniel Anyembe and Collins Sichenje will arrive at the camp on Wednesday.

“Timothy Ouma is expected to arrive in camp today at 3 p.m., while defenders Daniel Anyembe and Collins Sichenje will join the team tomorrow in the afternoon,” FKF announced.

“Additionally, Joseph Okumu is scheduled to arrive in Lilongwe later in the week as the team intensifies its preparations for the qualifiers,” the statement confirmed.

Ouma made his debut for Kenya on November 11, 2021, in a World Cup qualifier against Uganda, coming on as a 72nd-minute substitute.

He earned his second cap four days later, on November 15, 2021, in a World Cup qualifier against Rwanda after being introduced in the 80th minute.

Ouma also featured in an international friendly against South Sudan at Moi International Sports Centre on September 23, 2023.

He made his debut in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with a cameo appearance against Gabon at the Stade de Franceville on November 18, 2023, and played another game on November 20, 2023, against Seychelles at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.

The Harambee Stars held their first training session in Malawi on Sunday, June 2, 2024, ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier matches against Burundi and Ivory Coast.

The team is set to play Burundi on June 7 and Ivory Coast on June 11, 2024, in matchdays three and four of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Both matches will take place at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi. The team arrived in Lilongwe on the morning of Sunday, June 2, 2024.
