Harambee Stars utility player Clarke Oduor played a crucial role in Bradford City’s 1-0 victory over Sutton United, providing an assist for Calum Kavanagh’s winning goal.

This marked Bradford City’s third consecutive win, following victories against Mk Dons and Wrexham.

Oduor three goals

Oduor, who has scored three goals for Bradford City this season, has appeared in 21 matches for the team, accumulating a total of 1362 minutes on the pitch.

Notably, Oduor has not featured for Harambee Stars since his substitution during their match against South Sudan, a decision that drew surprise from former head coach Mark Hughes.

In the match against Sutton United, Bradford City dominated early on, with Andy Cook and Oduor creating chances. However, it was Kavanagh who broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a composed finish from Oduor’s through pass.

Despite pressure from Sutton United, Bradford City’s defence held firm, with goalkeeper Sam Walker making crucial saves to maintain a clean sheet. Cook also came close to extending the lead, but Sutton United’s goalkeeper, Dean Bouzanis, denied him with a smart save.

Oduor’s attempt

As the game progressed, Bradford City continued to push forward, with Oduor and others testing Bouzanis. Meanwhile, Sutton United fought hard to find an equalizer but ultimately fell short.
