Harambee Stars have achieved full house status following the arrival of all the foreign-based players called up for the November international transfer window.

In an update on Thursday, November 13, 2025, Athanus Obala, the head of the national team, confirmed that Benini McCarthy had also linked up with the team in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of the Friday, November 14 clash.

The first batch of local and international-based players left the country on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, for Turkey.

All in

“Everybody is now in camp. All the foreign-based players have linked up with the team here in Antalya. The coach joined us last evening, and we are all set for the match tomorrow,” he stated.

Austria-based Ryan Ogam of Wolfsberger and Baron Oketch of Zamalek SC were among the international-based players who linked up with the team in Nairobi before the trip to Turkey.

Meanwhile, Jonah Ayunga and William Wilson Lenkupae are among the latest pros to join the team in Turkey.

The pair were among the stars who joined the team training session for Thursday, a day before the first friendly clash against Equatorial Guinea.

Friday’s clash against Equatorial Guinea will be the first of the back-to-back friendlies during this month’s FIFA window as Benni McCarthy’s charges now embark on preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations to be held on home soil.

The team was initially planned to play matches against Madagascar and Comoros.

Focus on 2027 AFCON

The Stars will face the West African team at the Emir Complex starting at 6:00 pm.

Kenya will then lock horns against Senegal in the second friendly clash on Tuesday, November 18, at the Mardan Stadium.

Both ties will kick off at 6:00 pm.

The friendly matches will provide the Stars with a vital opportunity to test their strength against high-ranking opponents, fine-tune tactical approaches, and build cohesion ahead of upcoming competitive engagements.

After successfully hosting the 2024 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN 2024), alongside Uganda and Tanzania, Kenya will again host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations alongside her two neighbours; hence, the need to build a strong team that will be able to compete effectively with the continent’s big boys on home soil.
