Gor Mahia gear up to face Simba with new signings making travelling squad

Gor Mahis FC has unveiled a 25-man squad set to depart for Tanzania as part of its preseason preparations.

According to an update this Monday, September 8, 2025, eight of the club’s new arrivals are among the stars to feature in the trip as the club bolsters preparations for the new season.

Gor is scheduled to play against Simba SC on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, as part of the Tanzanian giants’ pre-season engagement function termed “Simba Day’

Among the new signings is Mike Kibwage, who joined from Tusker FC on a two-year deal.

The defender who was part of Kenya’s CHAN team in August will be joined by Lewis Bandi, who joined the club from rivals AFC Leopards.

Ghanaian attacking pair of striker Ebenezer Adukwa and midfielder George Amonno, who joined the club on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, will also be part of the team’s contingent for the trip.

Fidel Origa, who joined from Bandari FC, has also made the cut, but Veron Ombima, who joined from a lower-tier side, misses out.

The new members will join up with mainstays like Ernest Wendo, Ben Stanley, Austine Odhiambo, Alpha Onyango, skipper Philemon Otieno, Paul Ochuoga, Bryton Onyona, and Sylvester Owino.

In a related development, Gor has confirmed that those engaged in national team duties will join the team in Dar es Salaam.

Others in the travelling contingent will include Charles Akkonor, the new head coach, and his assistant, Bismark Koby-Mensah.
