Gor Mahia captain reveals motivation to win games despite pressure

Gor Mahia captain Philemon Otieno has revealed their desire to win each and every game in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
K’Ogalo are set to face Sofapaka on Saturday, April 19, 2025, and Otieno says the mood in the camp is positive. Additionally, he has asked the fans to come and support them in large numbers.
“The mood in the camp is good; we are pushing hard and going for maximum points because the league is taking shape. We must work hard and make sure that we win.
“In Gor Mahia, every game you have to be under pressure because fans and players alike believe we must win every game. We urge all our fans to turn out in large numbers and rally behind the team,” Mbish, as Otieno is famously known, said in a video captured by the club’s social media pages.

Mihic’s call
Meanwhile, Gor Mahia’s head coach, Sinisa Mihic, emphasized the need for his players to win every game of the season.
“We are heading towards the conclusion of the season, and we remain focused. We will need to be at our best in terms of concentration and discipline ahead of what is like ten finals in the league and the Cup.
“Every game now is like the final of the Champions League, and we have to give them the seriousness they deserve. We have a plan, which is to win our games.
“It is an important match; every game is important. We are professionals, and we have to give our best in every game,” Mihic said.
The coach will not be on the touchline as he received a red card during their match against KCB.
