Foreigners line up for third Rally Cross

The third round of the famous Rally Cross comes over to Nairobi City at the Kasarani Rally Park this weekend with drivers from Uganda and Zambia coming through in what is expected to be a feisty and muddy affair.

The foreigners are Zambia duo of Leroy and Seth Gomez, while Musa Ssegaabwe from Uganda will be taking part in the Open Class.

Top local racers like Baldev Chagger, Ian Duncan and Anwar Sidi will be part of the day-long action to be held at the Kasarani racing track. It is the third and final event this year with the first two events having been held in April and August.

The two previous events were held at the Machakos People’s Park and were extremely competitive and currently there is a tie between Team Soli Cyprus Gin and Team 7 to 70 motorsports.The upcoming event shall be a battle of the giants with big names in the two teams promising to outdo each other on the track.

The Kasarani event will feature an impressive array of talent including emerging young talents like Amman Ganatra. To intensify the competition, additional classes, such as 2WD and turbo open, have been introduced.

The final rallycross event for 2023 is expected to attract more entries as the event becomes more and more exciting both for the competitors and the spectators.

Tournament Director Tim Jessop has on his part promised a thrilling event for all fans that will be at the stands.

“The track has just been designed to create a challenge to the drivers. Rallycross offers fast-paced, head-to-head races on a mixed dirt and asphalt track, all arranged in an amphitheater-style setting.”

This Rx Motorsports Kenya-hosted event has expanded and changed, drawing more competitors, more vehicles and rally enthusiasts.Coming this November 18th and 19th shall be two exciting days of fast-paced racing and amazing feats of bravery and skill.

A couple of other interesting people will be on mission as well with Lady racers Maxine Wahome and Natasha Trundo will be juggling for honours with the former leading the standings with 12 points in the bag.

In the Juniors Series,Raiveer Thethy and Jeremiah Wahome separated only by three points will also be going head to head at the Park same as the Open Class Single front-runners Ian Duncan, Ishmael Azelli and Frank Tundo.
