FKF WPL 2023/24 fixtures confirmed, Champions Vihiga to face Ulinzi in opener

The Football Kenya Federation has unveiled the fixture list for the upcoming 2023/24 FKF Women’s Premier League season, which is scheduled to kick off on September 23, 2023.

The reigning champions, Vihiga Queens, will begin their title defence with a home match against the victorious team of the 2023 FKF Women’s Cup, Ulinzi Starlets.

Gaspo Women, who secured the commendable second runners-up position last season, are slated to engage in a challenging battle against Bunyore Starlets at the Stima Members Club.

The newly promoted side, Kibera Soccer Ladies, will embark on their FKF Women’s Premier League journey against none other than league newcomers, Bungoma Queens.

Having emerged triumphant in a closely fought third-place playoff against Uweza Women in Nakuru, Bungoma Queens are eager to step onto the field and showcase their prowess in the upcoming season.

The matches will come after Vihiga Queens, currently in Uganda will have known their champions league fate. The Kenyan Giants are eyeing a return to the Champions League after missing out on the last editions due to the FIFA ban on Kenya.

Vihiga are currently chasing a ticket to the Champions League in the CECAFA Women’s Championship in Uganda.
