FKF PL Week 1 Dream Team: Tusker, Sharks dominate as Gor, AFC Leopards miss out
The FKF Premier League has unveiled its Team of the Week following the opening round of matches that took place over the weekend.
The distinguished squad comprises standout performers from the weekend’s fixtures who exhibited exceptional skills and contributions to their respective teams.
FKF PL TOW keeper/defence
Isaiah Wakasala’s heroic saves for Talanta FC played a crucial role in securing a valuable point against AFC Leopards.
His stellar performance earned him the coveted Man of the Match accolade and a place in the team of the week
Jimmy Mbugua fullback demonstrated his defensive prowess during the match, earning a place in the Team of the Week. He is joined by Timothy Ekhavi (Kariobangi Sharks). Ekhavi delivered a stellar Man of the Match performance in the Kariobangi Sharks’ encounter with Kenya Police.
Erick Juma was recognized as the Man of the Match in the match between Muhoroni Youth and Kennedy Odhiambo’s contributions in the Posta Rangers match have secured them spots in the backline as centre-back.
FKF PL mid/attack
Batts Awita who marked his FKF Premier League debut with a goal, played a pivotal role in Muranga Seal’s victory, earning his place in the central midfield as well as Stanley Wilson (Kariobangi Sharks) who was exceptional in the midfield in the match against Kenya Police.
Attackers include Benjamin Mosha (Ulinzi Stars making his mark as a new signing for Ulinzi Stars on the left wing, Harun Thomas (Nzoia Sugar), who led the side as captain and Simon Munala of Sofapaka.
