The spotlight turned to the 2024 FKF Cup Women’s draw on Friday, January 26, 2024, at the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE), unveiling matchups for Ulinzi Starlets, Gaspo Women, and Kenya Police Bullets.

A total of 22 teams eagerly participated in the draw, representing various tiers of women’s football, including 8 FKF Women Premier League clubs, 4 FKF Women Super League clubs, 6 Women Division One clubs, and 4 regional and county clubs.

The draw maintained fairness by dividing teams into two pots based on their rankings. Pot A housed the higher-ranked teams, while Pot B accommodated the lower-ranked sides.

The initial 12 teams drawn were allocated to the preliminary stage, while the remaining 10 earned an automatic entry into the round of 16.

The preliminary round will witness exciting clashes, featuring Nairobi Starlets against Royal Starlets, TUK Ravens versus Ulinzi Starlets, Milima Queens facing Gaspo Women, NYS Queens meeting Nakuru City Queens, Makolanders Women squaring off against KISPED, and Embu Queens challenging Kenya Police Bullets. Successful teams from this round will advance to face each other in the round of 16.

Scheduled for April 6 and 7, 2024, the preliminary round promises intense competition. Looking ahead, the quarterfinals are set for May 4–5, 2024, and the semi-finals will unfold on June 1, 2024. The pinnacle of the FKF Women’s Cup, the grand finale, is scheduled for June 16, 2024.
