Premier League giants AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia will face teams from the lower division in their preliminary games of the Football Kenya Federation Cup in 2025.

Gor Mahia, aiming to advance to the final this season, will face KSG Ogopa FC, a National Division Two Eastern Zone side.

On the other hand, AFC Leopards will face Nyanza Regional League side Dero FC in Round 64 action.

Kenya Police, the reigning champions, will begin their campaign with a duel against National Division Two Central Zone side Superior Hotel.

“The Round of 64 will be played this weekend on February 22nd and 23rd, 2025, followed by the Round of 32 in March, then by the Round of 16 in April. The quarterfinals and semifinals are set for May, with the grand finale scheduled for June.

“With a coveted trophy, prize money, and a potential CAF Confederation Cup slot on the line, teams will be giving their all from the opening round. The tournament also provides an opportunity for underdogs to challenge Kenya’s top-flight giants, making it one of the most exciting knockout competitions in the country,” FKF said in a statement.
